Originally, the conference was scheduled for October 2020, but announcement of COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions on movement prompted the organisers to postpone the event until October 2021. According to pre-arranged agenda, during the first day of the conference (27.10), lectures on engineering and applications of water mist installations including their benefits will be held. Particular emphasis will be placed on environmental issues and sustainable development. The second day of the conference (28.10) will be devoted to scientific aspects of water mist technology.
All parties that are interested in participation in the conference are kindly invited. Current schedule of IMWC events includes as follows:
- 15th February 2021: call for papers / release date
- 30th April 2021: deadline for applications for the IWMA Young Talent Award
- 31st May 2021: deadline for the submission of abstracts
- 31st May 2021: activation of the conference webpage
- 30th June 2021: Speakers will be notified about the acceptance of their abstract
- 15th July 2021: publication of conference programme
- 30th July 2021: end of the early bird period
- 24th August 2021: 1st invitation (including draft agenda) to the 2021 annual IWMA member meeting (to be held on 26th October 2021)
- 28th September 2021: 2nd invitation (including final version of agenda) to the 2021 annual IWMA member meeting (reminder)
- 13th October 2021: final versions of presentations due
- 26th October 2021: IWMA member meeting
- 27th & 28th October 2021: 20th International Water Mist Conference
